「Cyclops」は食卓を囲むための椅子。

つくりとしては、薄い板を曲げることで強度を出し、

個人で組み立て可能なノックダウンの方式を採用する。

 

一枚の板から無駄なく切り出せるよう部品点数を少なくし、

バラバラのパーツを組み立てて作るため、搬送・納入・保管に適したコンパクトなパッケージにまとめることが出来る。

背もたれに「ポケット」と丸い手掛けをプラスしたことで、ちょっとした使いやすさと表情の変化が生まれるようデザインにした。

 

「長く愛される」＝「使い続ける」＝「捨てない」という

発想をもとに、極力すっきりとさせた形状・構造を目指した

ダイニングチェア。

“Cyclops” is a dining chair.

It is a knockdown chair, which can be easily assembled by one person.

 

The aluminum sheets are thin but given strength by bending.

The parts are as few as possible, cut two sets out of one sheet with as little waste as possible; they are compactly packable for delivery and storage.

 

The backrest has a pocket with a hole (for hooking fingers when carrying), adding to the chair’s simplicity an interesting look as well as usefulness.

 

It is a dining chair with the simplest design and structure possible, based on the concept: ‘use long’, ‘love long’, and ‘not dump.
