“Neko sofa” is designed by a complete opposite concept against the usual sofa.

We pursue the aerial and flexibility for this ,

not as a usual sofa, which is heavy and stuffed with sponge under the fancy textile.

The seat is finished with the EVA sheet, looks like a sheet of transparent plastic pasta but it has enough bounce and lightness itself.

 

You can easily move this sofa in your house, and feel wind and light through it.

 

「布でくるんだスポンジの固まり」を抜け出した、

空気みたいなソファ。

 

どっしりとした重厚感ではなく、移動させたくなる軽快さをもとめた形。

壁を背負っても、部屋の中央においてもバランス良く空間に収まり、置かれたままにならない、自由度の見えるソファ。

 

張り包みのソファに対し、座面の素材そのものが表皮となる。表皮にあたるクッション材にはスプリングソファ同等の反発力を持ち、取り外して洗うことも可能なEVA素材を使用する。フレームに取り付けたSバネは、空気や光が通り抜ける軽快感を邪魔せず、クッション材の反発力を助ける役目を果たしている。

 

すーっと風が通り抜けるような、

自由さと軽やかさのあるソファを提案する。
