Flatpack table
exhibited in TENT LONDON 2011
「papier」は食卓用のテーブル。
１m×１m×１mのアルミニウムの板の、四方を曲げることによって、１枚の薄い板に強度を保たせた。
「Cyclops」のシリーズとしてデザインし、サイクロップス同様、一枚の板から無駄なく切り出せるよう部品点数を少なくし、４本の脚と天板を８カ所のボルトでつないで組み立てるため、搬送・納入・保管に適したコンパクトなパッケージにまとめることが出来る。
折り紙のように、「折る」「曲げる」という行程から、シンプルでユニークな形状を導きだした。
Papier” is a dining table.
It is a knockdown table, with just only 5 parts and 8 bolts, which can be easily assembled by one person.
The 1m x 1m x 1m aluminum sheets are thin but given strength by bending.
This table is designed as a series of dining chair, “Cyclops”, those shares the same concept, with as little waste as possible; they are compactly packable for delivery and storage.
As “ORIGAMI”, the unique appearance will be given by the simple processes, folding and bending.
